Dougie I would have to agree the conventional time served apprentice way is better from an experience gained point of view and by far the route I would have prefered to choose instead of the steeper...

So what you're saying is if you don't train as an Electrician straight from school then don't do it at all, I bet you're a pleasure to work for with an attitude like that!

They can't!!! However 4 years on after I left the Navy and did my quals, including 2391 which alot of sparks don't have/can't pass/struggle to pass, I run my own business, carry out work to a high...

Ahh the bitter brigade!!! :)

We aint all bad and believe me there's enough time served sparkies out there that are bringing the trade down from what I've experienced but the worst are the kitchen...
