Indeed, and that´s without the Romans, Vikings etc that screwed us, and the Germans, Spanish, French et al that tried to screw us! :) At least most of the UK´s former territories still want something...

Think you're wrong Bil, it's the "black" coal mines that are closing, the "brown" coal survives, it's much more profitable.

Not sure it's an "attack", it's merely someone's opinion on the situation. It's a British paper but he's a Spanish professor of economics, so well qualified to comment on Spanish economic affairs....

Not surprising, I don't think anyone is doing well at the moment. Even France and Germany aren't looking as good as most thought. But I just find it laughable that someone seems to be suggesting...

Spain's deficit of GDP is 5.3% more than double the UK's, roughly 2.5%. Unemployement just about the highest in Europe.
