It wasn’t for citizenship (it was for a child care centre screening and criminal record check) but I got a fingerprint check done recently through RCMP and that cost me $70

No problem.
It was just Notice to appear, PR card, passports, drivers licence or equivalent ID, I took my original certificate of my language test but she said she could see I spoke English...

Got our notice to appear for oath by email today - date is 21st January - so the process from application to oath will have taken 13 months total.
The end is in sight!

ok, good to know, thanks!
It took them 6 weeks to change status to decision made but we had to supply additional paperwork to prove dates for a trip to the UK.

Good to know if you haven’t kept any of the other stuff then that is there. And if you had multiple trips to prove that might be easier than burrowing for multiple bits of paperwork.

No, we used our UK passports that’s why there is no entry stamp for the UK which is what they are looking for. They have the re-entry to Canada.

I don’t think cic will do anything other than refer you to the waiting times to be honest. While 2 months seems to be average some will be quicker some slower.

Quick update - we both passed our test today :drinkwine:

Only one small hitch with the interview was that we didn’t have stamps in our passports for a trip to the UK so we are going to have to...
