Yes, you're right. I called the Canadian human resources place about this when we arrived, and they said because I didn't have a medical I wasn't allowed to work in hospitals or with children. ...

My OH came over as an electrician and got a 2 year work permit. He has to SIT the Red Seal exam within 6 months.
