I called DIAC 3 times and always asked, After converting from 175 to 176 why i am not getting priority (in polite way), worked for me.

I applied for my visa on 14 Sep. 2008.

I called DIAC and always ask, After converting from 175 to 176 why i am not...

When i applied for 175 and changed to 176, I was in Saudi Arabia, left job in march 09 and came back to India to sell my property.

I checked BEupdate, and felt that they are now processing 175, only few 176 are approved, it doesn't look that 176 have priority over 175

In July 175 approved 35
In July 176 approved 12...

Same case for my son, I provided them scan color copy of old passport with old name and new passport with new name.

If your wife have passport before marriage then you can provide it same...
