Re: Transferring from Canadian office directly to Green Card via EB2/3

Likewise. I got caught in the backlog that developed post COVID. Like you said it's all behind us now and just in time with the new declaration they made on Thursday.

Re: Transferring from Canadian office directly to Green Card via EB2/3

Long time no update.

My EAD/AP combo card was approved mid Feb.

I see a lot of movement in the Lawfully app that tracks applications. Hoping for an approval sometime in the next month. It's...

Re: Transferring from Canadian office directly to Green Card via EB2/3

Thank you :)

It feels like I scraped by just in time. My workplace is no longer initiating PERM because of high application rates.

Re: Transferring from Canadian office directly to Green Card via EB2/3

Well much to my surprise the July visa bulletin shows me as current for both DoL and FAD. I've asked the lawyers to prep the I485, I131 and I765.

Re: Transferring from Canadian office directly to Green Card via EB2/3

Correct. I should have qualified my statement.

I am 19 days away from DoF and 41 days away from FAD.

Re: Transferring from Canadian office directly to Green Card via EB2/3

Brief update.

Most of you in the system are probably aware of the current backlog issues.

There's been no movement for EB3 in the past 3 Visa Bulletins and none is expected until October of...

Re: DV-2025 is open to anybody born in the UK!

For some it's their only choice. If you're married to a non-US citizen and can't find a sponsoring employer then it's pretty much no-go.

There's a great NPR podcast on a refugee winner from...

Re: Transferring from Canadian office directly to Green Card via EB2/3

I was in Mexico last week and asked CBP looks like you are right and my lawyers are wrong. Pretty cheesed that I paid to go up to Vancouver when I could have got to the border for $2.50 on the...

Re: Transferring from Canadian office directly to Green Card via EB2/3

Quick update. As the April visa bulletin indicates it is highly unlikely my PD will become current this FY. Expecting PERM approval end of April/early May if I'm not audited.

Re: Transferring from Canadian office directly to Green Card via EB2/3

Correct March is my PD.

The lawyers said we could file based on the dates in table B of the visa bulletin. It obviously won’t be approved until it’s current but as long as I can file I should...
