Re: No EAD Months Later - Too Late to Apply?

Thanks again, all. Noorah, that would make sense - she didn't finish University that long ago. She was here on exchange student visas before uni.

Jeff - I will advise her about that (but of...

Re: No EAD Months Later - Too Late to Apply?

She has been on different visas and has left and come back in multiple times. Can you get a temporary work permit if you complete a degree at an American university?

I'm actually confident that...

Re: No EAD Months Later - Too Late to Apply?

Thanks for your input, Noorah. I agree about the lawyer, I just can't understand why she didn't file for an EAD in the first place, or, if she did, why her lawyer hasn't followed up (at least with...

No EAD Months Later - Too Late to Apply?

Hello All,

Asking for a co-worker (really! Hubby already has citizenship and we are moving back to the UK next month), so I don't have all the details. Unfortunately she is very stressed and...

Re: PETS Vet Appt - Urgent Question

I take it back - do NOT use this vet! After noticing numerous discrepancies on the rabies certificate, it has finally emerged that they gave the cats a LIVE vaccine despite the fact that I confirmed...

Re: PETS Vet Appt - Urgent Question

Overall, great! She didn't know the process inside and out, but she listened to me explain it all AND insisted on taking the time to read all of the directions herself so it would be 100% correct....

Re: PETS Vet Appt - Urgent Question

They seemed to be familiar over the phone, last time we were there (last year) was before the changes, and she knew all about the old rules. I will report back this afternoon!

Re: PETS Vet Appt - Urgent Question

I have, thanks. Pretty sure I know the process inside and out (I'm a huge over-planner), it's just the little details that I can't find anywhere :-)

Re: PETS Vet Appt - Urgent Question

Thanks, Sile - I agree! I've emailed the people at Heathrow with our microchip info, hopefully they will eventually get back to me.

We definitely want to have them re-chipped, but thought we...

Re: PETS Vet Appt - Urgent Question

Thanks.

Yep, in Chicago.

I was told that Heathrow can handle American formatted chips. I tried emailing the receivers there but haven't heard back.

Re: Any reason not to mention interview?

Re: Where to start with a UK Spousal Visa?

I'm happy to help, but I'm no expert! For both of us we included updated CVs and 3-4 job postings each. Last year there was an issue of the Guardian on fundraising (my career) and the fact that...

Re: Where to start with a UK Spousal Visa?

I am in the same process, submitted my application online last night and have my biometrics on Tuesday. I hope to mail the packet that day - I really want to beat the rule change!

A question: I am...

Re: Greencard renewal

Just FYI, my husband filed to have the conditions on his residency removed toward the end of August (probably around the 25th?). His biometrics appointment in Chicago was at the end of September...
