Re: NSW CENTRAL COAST MEET UPS

Hi Lilian,

I remember chatting to you on some other threads

As Catherine says, it's just me (and the cat now) so you are definitely not alone in being alone!

Are you still...

Re: NSW CENTRAL COAST MEET UPS

Hi everyone,

Good to see some familiar names on here! And thank you Tiger22 for letting me know about this thread.

I used to post on current processing times etc - now I live (very happily) in...

Re: Current Processing Times (continued)

How dare you accuse me of signing off because I am in Australia. I have been in NZ and Australia on and off for coming up on 6 years and have made a point of logging on EVERY NIGHT to join in and...

Re: paperbased applications thread

Just to let some of you know - the moderators have really offended me on another thread and I'm signing off. It's not just that I'm disgusted by the way they run this website like it's 1984 (expect...

Re: Current Processing Times (continued)

The ASPC email has onlines coming in at a couple of months faster than paper - but it's not hard and fast. I got mine a lot faster than many online apps from the same month as mine.

Just to let...

Re: What are my options?

That's only 2 visa options mate, there are more - don't give up! You could also have a go at the study route or a 457 sponsorship.

This game is all about determination Noob - if you want it bad...

Re: Filing Suit against DIAC.

I might send DIAC a Christmas card actually, to thank then for their fantastic customer service and prompt granting of my visa

I'm in Neutral Bay renting right now but just bought a house...

Re: Filing Suit against DIAC.

You will love it. Especially because you have absolutely the right attitude for moving to a new country. Although not so much today. Instead of the usual 20 degrees or so at half 7am it's a ludicrous...

Re: Current Processing Times (continued)

Good post Sir Matt!

75% within 12 months is the service standard. People who get all worked up after 3/4/5 months of waiting are upsetting themselves unnecessarily. And I am going to stop posting...

Re: Filing Suit against DIAC.

Cheers Lee - I just feel a bit bad getting personal because that's not what this forum is about, but he really winds me up. He goes against everything I love Australia for.

Re: Filing Suit against DIAC.

Given your previous rants it's a fairly reasonable conclusion to reach. I think most of your posts are worryingly unstable. And from a completely personal point of view I honestly hope you are never...

Re: Current Processing Times (continued)

Also they might want to work on the people still waiting from 2007 before they look at a May 2008 application!

Re: Filing Suite against DIAC.

You can't instruct a moderator to close a thread just so that you can have the last word. This is a very interesting debate and it's not a case of ruffling feathers - it's a case of people being...

Re: 176 Family Sponsored Visa Circle

I agree. Pretty sure that making the occasional call/email made them aware of my existence and tickled DIAC into giving me an early grant.

Re: paperbased applications thread

It's the not knowing or having any idea of timelines that sends us all absolute bonkers isn't it  it all seems so random, the processing - I just tried to keep myself sane by expecting the whole...

Re: 176 Family Sponsored Visa Circle

Hey RobertC - tough times for sure, but you will get there and it's SO worth it! Are you paperbased?

Re: Current Processing Times (continued)

As mentioned - this does not mean visas aren't being processed. Look at BEUPDATE for realtime visa grants and refer to the client charter for more official timelines:...

Re: paperbased applications thread

Just reiterating a few points that keep coming up on here.

An offshore 175 has an expected processing time of 12 months and the DIAC website strongly recommends people don't do anything drastic...

it didn't move for several months earlier this year. Doesn't mean visas aren't being processed.

Re: paperbased applications thread

Defunct as in an old category. I might be barking up the wrong tree here but if it was as simple as just giving it a new number - how come the processing times for the 138 are only at July 2007 but...

Re: paperbased applications thread

Have you made any enquiries about problems with the 138 now being defunct? I'd be surprised if that wasn't the key issue with your grant being so unbelievably slow?

I just Googled it and found a...
