Re: Current processing times

I don't think it makes much difference in the great scheme of things, but it seems to me that people not using agents might get processed a little bit quicker, only a few days though, I think. In...

Re: December 2007 Applicants

Yeah, I came out here ages ago on a tourist visa, and have been watching my bank balance dwindle while the visa date stayed unchanged for months, so it's a big relief that I can actually start...

Re: November 2007 Applicants

But......

Re: November 2007 Applicants

Hi - it can't hurt to call them and ask roughly how long it'll be - if you have a CO they can tell you before you get the email - it can take a week or two before the CO gets around to writing to...

Re: December 2007 Applicants

Hiya.

From the email I got, it sounds like the visa won't take long at all - I just have to book a flight to NZ, and give DIAC 5 days to send an email to the Oz immigration office in Auckland.

seanshellluke, believe me, you're not going to upset them - I've phoned the DIAC helpline many, many times to find out what's going on, and if anything, it seems to help!

I would phone them up and...

Re: Current processing times

Although DIAC are very secretive about it, it seems that the reason the date didn't move for months was that they got close to their yearly quota of visas.

Also, there is another queue, for...
