I lived close to Swan Hill for 15 years and got to Mildura quite often.

Firstly, it gets really hot in summer and the winters are quite mild.

Size wise its about on par with Swan...

I know where you are coming from.

I lived in Oz from 1970 through to 1992 and then returned to the UK, my marriage had broken up, amicably thank goodness.

Our two boys stayed with mum...

Will definitely vouch for "The Castle", its not huge on scenery but its a great insight into the Oz way of thinking and giving things a "fair go".
