It is a complete minefield. If you have a family and want to immigrate either for TR or PR it is:

bloody expensive!

I think this probably just underlies some ignorance and isolation on part of some Aussies/Immigrants/Citizens/whatever you want to call them.

But this kind of attitude is common everywhere I think...

No, if you came to work in the uk from Oz you would probably not be entitled to state benefits. You would probably get NHS treatment for free though, currently. ...
