Re: Owners of automatic pool cleaners....

Re: The Great Australian Property Swindle

That's some crystal ball you've got there. But nice to see someone with the courage of their convictions.

Keeping a UK bank account

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I had a good search and couldn't find anything.

I'm hopefully moving to Oz in April, but am planning to keep some of my funds in the UK for a while.

Re: BCS Membership - Question for IT people

All,

Thanks for the comprehensive response. That's saved me a few quid (though I'll probably only waste it on Tooheys)

BCS Membership - Question for IT people

My BCS membership is due for renewal at the end of this year, but I'm looking to make the move to Oz in April. I've got my PR visa in place, and all skills assessments etc. are long done.

Re: UK house prices fall by record 3.6% in a MONTH!

That's a pretty good statistic, sounds like the right move for you in your situation. Do you have a 100% mortgage?

Re: UK house prices fall by record 3.6% in a MONTH!

There was an interesting article in Moneyweek recently with a global map of where property is under or overpriced. They'd done this by applying the same measures throughout.

Australia was far and...

Re: Business Class Airfares to UK / Europe - approx $2700 - $2800 rtn!

Apologies if this has already been answered in the previous 22 pages.

I'll be looking to take my one way migration trip from the UK to Oz next May. Would this offer be of any benefit for this?

Re: Englishman and Proud of it !!

When I read your first post on this thread I thought you had a chip on your shoulder.

Now I reckon it's a whole bag of chips. Maybe with a battered sausage and some vinegar thrown in too.

Re: Are These Feelings Normal

I think if you didn't have any concerns, worries, whatever you want to call them, it would suggest you hadn't given a pretty huge change in your life some thought.

I reckon thinking this sort of...

Re: Englishman and Proud of it !!

Interesting thread.

I don't know what the term for an 'anti-pom' is.

But I'd describe it as someone who goes to live in another country, feels like a fish out of water, and becomes excessively...

Re: Aus House Prices now 61.1% over valued: The Economist

We're likely to find that in the future it's more about what people are able to pay rather than prepared to pay, and what type of houses they can afford rather than want to get.

That's what the...

Re: March 2008 Applicants
