With respect to most of the replies, it now seems pretty obvious to me that while on a temporary visa the LAFHA will apply?

Is LAFHA a hassle for employers?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but to my understanding of the LAFHA is for people who are temporarily living away from home with the intention of returning home, and anybody that claims the benefit...

Sorry to say, if you win the Lotto, you won't be allowed to claim it unless your a permanent resident!!!!:curse:

PANIC!!! In Australia 3 months. 457 CANCELLED!

What will I do now?

I got sponsored as a plasterer with my wife and son, now my employer lost a big contract and is letting 50 guys go....including me!

I know i need to find another sponsor,...

My agent told me that it was the way she always does it, and she's has 100% success rate. She told me to inform her when they receive my meds.

Is it possible to check online somehow?

Hi all,

How can i find out if my meds have been received in Australia? They have nothing else from me regarding who I am, as my sponsors migrating agent hasnt sent in my application.
