Depends how you want to define "winter"

The non golf season is something like Mid november to late April


The real cold spell is usually Jan and Feb, but might carry over either way, or might only be a few days.

This year has involved more shoveling than most, with real snow in early Decemeber and a good half dozen or more good snow storms with 6" at a time plus so far. Ive seen snow in late april, early may in the past too, but it sort of peters out from mid march on into a month of slush and mud, and then before you know it its late may and 30°C and Im sunburned and the bugs are annoying me again.

If it's when the NHL is the only thing most people talk about, then it's from September to late June.
