No but I live on the doorstep - 95% of my tv channels/radio are from Detroit and like I have said many times now I spend a lot of time there... If I wanted to know about Kitchener I'm assuming you...

Downtown Detroit is not a rough place at all! Have you come out of the tunnel and been in that immediate area? Which part of the city are you referring to exactly? You only have to watch the movie...

Ok so there are a few abandoned buildings in Detroit but as we all know there are dodgy looking areas everywhere....

We drove to Florida last summer from Windsor - its one straight rd as soon as you cross the border :thumbup: I-75 all the way...:thumbsup:

The unemployment rate is the highest in Canada due to most people working for 1 of the Big 3 automotive companies at some point but the OP did say jobs were not a issue.:)

Have you considered the Windsor and surrounding areas? I know its not on your list but here's a few things to consider:

1) House Prices are probably the best in Canada

2) Detroit is right on...
