Re: Advice needed -USCIS Biometric Appointment

They sent a letter to several parties, but interestingly it doesn't appear that the details are posted on their website. There's a copy of the letter here...

Re: Advice needed -USCIS Biometric Appointment

The second part of this statement is currently not correct - biometrics can only be done on the day listed on the letter due to Covid restrictions.

Re: Fragomen - Any experiences to share

Fragomen handled my original E3 visa. No issues at all with them, if anything they went a little overboard with the requirements (despite countless new visas I've never needed the degree equivalency...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

There is no premium processing available. Expect it to take several months, possibly as many as 6 or more.

Presuming you are Australian born I can't see that the current situation would have any...

Re: New E3 Process in the Bahamas

Most Australian 3-year degrees (or at least, those relevant for an E3 position) will be deemed equivalent to a US 4 year degree.

I've never heard of anyone with an Australian 3 year degree being...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

There's nothing to stop you booking your appointment - in fact I normally book mine before the LCA is even approved.

You will need a signed copy of the LCA to take with you to the consulate. It...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

The consulate won't care. My first 3 positions were 12 months, 18 months, and 12 months, and they didn't even bat an eyelid.

(The first was actually several years, but only 12 months in the US so...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

I've always given notice when I returned to the US with the new visa. I've confirmed with multiple immigration attorneys that this is allowed, and have specifically told border staff that I'm...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

That goes against the questions asked when you're booking a visa interview where it has doing it by mail as an option (where it asks if you are a resident in the consular district), however even if...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

I got an E3R in Sydney a few weeks ago. They have changed the process again slightly since the last time I was there, but the total time in the consulate was about 20 minutes, with about 4 of that...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

The first available appointment in Toronto for a non-Canadian resident is the 6th of December, 2016. You could do a little better by going to Ottawa as it has the soonest appointment available (21...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

As I discovered today when renewing my passport (full, not expired), there is now a US$77 fee for applying for a passport internationally, on top of the usual passport fees. You also need to apply...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

But to confuse things slightly, the new visa will be an "E3R" where the "R" refers to it being a "renewal".

From your perspective there's no real difference between an E3 and an E3R - you apply...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

The biggest issue with going this route is that whilst it extends your status, it doesn't extend your visa. That's fine whilst you're still in the country, but the moment you leave the US your...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Re: E3 visa refused per Section 214(b)

Is there any reason that re-validation wouldn't work now? ie, does having the refusal impact the ability to do that?

(I'm presuming they didn't cancel the old visa)

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

You will need the old passport, as they will want to stamp the old visa as being canceled.

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Unfortunately the fact it's not explicitly stated is a major issue for some of us.

For example, my employer (major multi-national), and our immigration lawyers (Duane Morris), refuse to even...
