I have applied with the same asco code 2299-79. The occupation features only on the ACT (Canberra) list for state sponsorship.

Mar '08, non CSL\MODL Business & Information Professional from HR country.....aka.....bottom pile standard family sponsored visa....they would probably need a ladder to climb down the pile to pick up...

Hi Varsanik, typically a state would only sponsor an occupation which is in demand \ shortage, which in turn would necessarily mean that there would be a demand \ positions available for that...

It makes a lot of sense to give high priority to employer...

Fair statement Tony, but do you really think that DIAC can fill in their existing program with only the current CSL & STNI appls?

No movement on the appl at all. With the ridiculous processing times, we have braced ourselves to RETIRE in OZ. :frown::ohmy::(

Am in the same boat as yours mate.

Applied for a fam spon 176 in March '08, been made redundant this month. All you have to do it send DIAC a change in circumstance form.

Spoke to my agent today, he is not expecting any communication from DIAC for the next 5-6 months.
But on the other hand, he is very hopeful for some reason that a CO may be allocated in that...
