Re: Whistle Blowing

Wow, what a response! Ok, this person is not my friend so I don't care if he finds out, not that he ever would.
He may be all talk and no trousers but if he does go, I shall be blowing my whistle....

Re: Whistle Blowing

No, they're definitely not under 30! And he knows exactly what he's doing. Cheeky blighter. Like previous poster said, it's so unfair on the rest of us who are doing it the right way.

Angry Whistle Blowing

I know someone who's going to Oz under a holiday visa and working illegally - who do I grass them up to? Makes me so mad when honest people like me and hundreds of others on here have problems...

AQF/Pathway E - anyone done this yet?

Just wondering if anyone's gone this route instead of waiting for news about Pathway D? How are you finding it? Think it's worth it? Are they super strict with their assessing?

All the best xx

Re: Trade skills assessment 900 hours paid or unpaid????/

I heard a rumour that TRA/Aussie Govt (whoever we're waiting for) had received a proposal, but it's been turned down, so now it's gonna be another long white (beaurocracy and all that) til another...

Re: Why doesn't Oz want me??

How about saving up and just having a holiday? You could have a look round at houses/house prices, maybe make a few appointments with employers/make contacts etc?

I'm not very up on all the...

Question student visa - pros and cons

We're caught up in Pathway D (basically the Aussie Govt decided not to let skilled people in unless they have qualifications - won't accept experience alone)... I've been trying to explore other...

Re: Migration Agencies and refund policy: Please Help!

Hi, I know exactly how you feel - we started the process before Pathway D was removed and now we're in limbo, having paid our agent already. I haven't asked for a refund, I'm just waiting patiently...

Re: Trade skills assessment pathway removed for those without qualifications

Hate to burst your bubble, but I've heard they'll only accept NVQs if you've done it in your first 2 (or is it 5?) years of work. If I'm wrong though, you don't have to go back to school, there are...

Re: pathways nightmare

Do you mean the informal training you received at the start of your job was more than 2 years ago, but you've been working since? So for my husband, who received his training about 8 years ago and...

Re: pathways nightmare

Us too - everything's been at a standstill since Sept 07 when TRA changed their minds. Husband's a plasterer with 10 years experience but no qualifications. I heard TRA aren't accepting NVQ cos...

Re: TRA - Skill Pathway D Affected Tradies - Workplace Assessments

If we can get employer sponsorship does that mean we don't have to worry about TRA and pathway D/proving skills etc? (I'm talking specifically about plastering in QLD, and we're 32)

Question Re: Trade skills assessment pathway removed for those without qualifications

Does anyone know if an NVQ2 in Jointing would be enough to satisfy TRA for Fibrous Plasterer? Jointing is one element of Fibrous plastering, along with boarding, fixing, metal studding etc etc...

Re: Trade skills assessment pathway removed for those without qualifications

I stand corrected! As my husband has a job offer from a company, do we not need to worry about TRA then? (assuming the company fills certain criteria). My agent said it doesn't help us that he's...

Re: Trade skills assessment pathway removed for those without qualifications

With regards to employer sponsorship, I think you also need to prove you have the skills to do the job on offer i.e an NVQ. My husband's a plasterer with no qualifications and already has a job...
