I understand the Tanglin, Dulwich, Dover Schools all provide the G(C)SE exams and English is the predominant language - but that comes at a cost (at least S$25k per child per year) and with 2 kids...

Yep - I am learning that schooling is going to be a major hurdle. it might be the deal breaker as I don't want to spend a long time without the kids waiting for a school...

I use the NBO (Airport branch) - been with them for 6 years no real complaints. TBH I find the staff in their relatively useful and there isn't the typical Omani 'cant be arsed' attitude.

It never did and still doesn't bother me. FYI, I am married to a Polish girl who came over to the UK to further her career. She has a MSc and worked for a year in a hotel doing work that locals...
