there are quite a few indoor rec centres around cairns, you shouldnt have any probs finding somewhere to play wherever you go. Dont worry, we had never been to Oz before either and we are doing ok,...

there is no aldi in cairns as far as i know (been here 9 months), could try the british lolly shop. quite a few book shops around, quite expensive but shop around.

yes I'm a nurse working at cairns base.The pay is good but the hours suck just the same here as in the Uk.:curse:

loving cairns, never been to oz before moving so is all new but feel like we are starting to fit in. don't miss uk at all, just family and friends.:o

Hi all, we have been in cairns 4 months now and found that the lists in the Australia & NZ magazine really usefull worth looking for in the newsagents.:thumbup:

My husband and I leave on 29th and arrive in Cairns 31st. All our stuff has gone and I'm finding it hard to stay away from the sales. 20kg is not looking anywhere near enough.

Hey. we have a one way ticket to cairns with CP on 29th. We booked through airlinenetwork and because of this we are not allowed extra baggage only flights booked directly with CP can get extra.
