Thanks for the advice so far.
I have already been in contact with our visa case officer to see if they can give an extension to our visa but they will not. What they said at NZ house was to come...

My family and I gained our pr visa in jan 09 but have so far been unable to secure any employment, all anybody says is if you can delay your move then that's what you should do.
