Thanks for that Bob. So it's UK = PAL and Canada = NTSC

SO I was right in thinking a normal UK aerial will NOT work on the TV and that it will only work on cable or Sat if it has a HDMI interface...

It sounds like although I can get a transformer, it's also dependant on whether it can interpret the UK signal (NTSC) as opposed to the North American PAL signal. I'll have to...
