True but whats interesting is the reaction by Americans of leaving school at that age. Fact is, English 16yr olds are more socially comfortable and secure than their US counterparts. In general, yes....

I think so. With the "Daycare/2 job" vicious circle being so prevalent here, there is a serious guilt trip going on.
So you have kids spending a lot of time in daycare/after/pre school programs...
