You are in luck. There is a SS office right there on Rt. 28 and the office has never been busy when I have been there!!! In and out in a matter of minutes.

You could get an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) instead of a SSN. This is what you would use for tax purposes and you can put the ITIN number on your bank accounts. I don't see...
