I'm not too well up on this but why would the PNP certificate be withdrawn ? Is it because he loses his job or would there be other reasons, e.g. would the Province issuing the nomination be notified...

The timescale for that process is quoted at 5 to 8 weeks; another 6 weeks for a work permit is a long time.

I guessed you meant 2006 not 2005, 'cos it made me feel quite disappointed that you'd been waiting so long after mentioning 25months for the Canada part.
