I also meant to say that if they only recieved it xmas eve then they may not be fully back to work till next week so that might explain the hold up.

No, Dr just told me that because I had a high BMI that my meds would get looked at by somebody else, I was not bothered that they went to oz, I was more worried about how long they would take to get...

Don't worry, same thing happened to me, I have a high BMI and mine were reffered to oz but I got my visa within 2 weeks of them being reffered with no problems.

I too had problems with Handsworth Wood. Got my appointmnet within 2 days of phoning so was really pleased at the speed things started off. I too was told I needed fasting bloods so had them done...

Had my medical at handsworth wood, got my appointment 2 days after ringing them, here is a breakdown of costs. ( I am going as a nurse):

Medical - £100
X Ray £40
HIV - £25
