Thanks, is the inner west affordable for rent/house purchasing?

I'd be looking at $400 per week rent, or maximum $450k to purchase and would ideally like a house within 10 mins walk of a train...

My PR visa was lodged June 13th, ACS have me as a Systems Manager so I'm no win the bottom group (7 I think?) so in for a long wait, but at least it's in the queue!

Thanks, nice to know there are jobs available in this area. Does the local work force have a large amount of IT workers? Do they have an advantage getting jobs over outsiders?

Sorry if I'm going on a bit - how will I know when to go for police checks. medicals and wether or not I need to sit the IETLS exam or not?
