I may not wait until the 2 years are up for employer sponsored PR, I would be more comfortable if I could try and get it immediately under my own steam.

So reading that immigration site, there doesnt seem to be much point getting the med for PR done in the UK, because I wont have started the PR application until I am in Oz?
