No, they charge your employers a percentage of your salary once they've placed you.

When I arrived in Gib I registered with every agency I could find (about 7).
It's common practice for the agencies to send out your CV to local companies even if they aren't actively recruiting at...

RecruitGibraltar found me a job within a month of signing on with them. Most of the companies in Gib use them. However - I found them rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. Hope I'm allowed to say that....

I am renting in Gib and unlike Spain as far as I know there is only one agency taking a finders fee. The rest take fees from the owner of the property. PM me if you'd like recommendations.

You're prob right armchair - have spent today investigating etc but am having trouble using any flash content from behind any sort of proxy...sigh - why is nothing ever easy!!!

Thanks jerezgirl - will be visiting Morrissons to stock up some bits anyway tomorrow...but actually the DVDs I used to be able to get were (gulp) pirated ones, very well known in the Costa Blanca...

Yes... can I just give my opinion on Alfas del Pi - where I lived for the worst year of my life. I realise that this is purely my opinion - but I have never ever met as many unpleasant (British)...
