We paid our final payment on 26th June 08 and the visa grant letter was received on 6th August. Our agent sent our passports to London by courier and they were returned to us via the agent 2weeks...

Timescale for us was:
Visa application acknowledged 23rd Feb 07
Case Officer 6th December 07 also meds & police checks requested
Meds & police checks 17th December 07
Police checks cleared...

Just had a look at our pre visa grant letter. Timescale in letter:
VAC to be paid by 15th July 08
Once the 2nd VAC is paid visa will be granted after 1st July
Initial entry no later than Sunday...

Thanks for that, will ring them in the morning. We have used Hifx to transfer money to our Son but weren't sure if we could use them for the bank draft as it has to be made payable to the 'Department...

Update on our progress. GREAT NEWS
2nd Visa Application charge been requested today. Took us by surprise as bond and assurer only completed last Thursday.

Panic over. Got a call from the agent today, bond and AOS has been requested just waiting for the letter to come tomorrow. Yippee. They really do seem to be moving things along with everyone...

Feeling a bit worried now. We had our application acknowledged 23rd Feb 07and our meds & police checks in Dec 07 but then everything came to a halt so we haven't been asked for the Bond as yet. Spoke...

Can I ask when you applied. We applied in Feb07, got a CO in Nov 07
had meds & police checks in Dec 07 & haven't been asked for the bond as yet. Feeling anxious, hope our agent hasn't boobed....

We hads meds last Monday, 17th Dec at St John Street Manchester. The cost of meds was £316 for 2 adults ( this included and extra blood test which was £12) and £140 for both chest x-rays. Don't...

A little sooner than expected really. Application acknowledged on 23rd Feb and at that time we were told by our agent it would be ten months, so a bit sooner which is great. Booked our meds...

We had a lovely meal at Frasers in Kings Park in Sept 06 for our 40th anniversary while we were visiting our kids in Aus. In a great setting overlooking the city.
