Well it would seem my theory of a short wait was correct....4 months later and nada, zilch, nothing. Not to worry though as we received our visas for Australia yesterday after a total processing time...

Well it's been 3 years and 7 months wait for us as well and we've pretty much given up the dream and are focusing on Oz. I started the application for Oz on 13th May, and for medicals booked for this...

I won't be holding my breath ad they've not even asked for updated docs, so will continue to pursue plan B, but at least they've acknowledeged we still exist, which is always a positive step!:D

Well after submitting and receiving state sponsorship to Oz in less than 3 weeks after deciding that our dreams to emigrate to Canada would never materialise, we received an update from CIC today.

Mikey, sorry but I have to disagree. What about those whose hearts were in it who applied pre-2008. Regardless of their dreams, CIC crushed them when they threw out their applications. Our hearts...

I think we may start to look at Oz again. Put it on the backburner when we got the 6-12 month wait letter, but hey, if they want us more than the Canadians, then so be it. What an absolute farce....
