If I could get 20 on the IELTS I could hit 70, regardless of work experience:

Age: 30
IELTS: 20
Recognised qualification: 10
Sponsorship: 10

My dad lives in Australia, hence the sponsorship....

So this removal of the recent work experience requirement, does this mean that someone who has just graduated or gained a certificate in a SOL occupation could start the visa application process?...

I have a related question. Let's say, I sit the test and get 7's. Not happy with this, so I retake the test and mess up and do even worse this time. Would it only be the most recent one that counts...

I came over here on a working holiday visa 4 months ago, didn't get asked a single question by immigration, didn't need to show any proof of funds, they just scanned my passport and let me through.

Aye, I've looked into call centre work but so many of them require you to have previous experience which I don't.

I'll look into Telstra, thanks for that suggestion.

Just had a look, to apply you have to be a Victoria resident. I'm just curious if I would be classed as a resident on a working holiday visa?

If not looks like I'll be learning over here instead.
