totally agree:) all i wanted to see was 'can you do the damn job' back in the UK....but oh no, over here HR scans first and they have no clue :ohmy:

Hi madmac...I found resumes here are much more about selling yourself and your soft skills and less about your actual ability lol....much more use of keywords...favourites are multi-faceted,...

Weird - when you look at the cic website for applying via london it tells you to write to pitt street if you are scottish. BTW thanks for the form

they had asked for a police cert in dec. i told them they already had one from me. then came a lot of back and forth with no resolution.

then last week they requested my medical.

what is ppr ? i have had my medicals done - is there anything else they are likely to ask for ? will they do medical request if they are waiting on o/s docs ?

I only got one back last time. This time they tell me I get one and then a letter from Scotland Yard ? This will not be a UK cert though.

no, i called pitt street today and they told me that on both occasions they asked scotland yard to provide another letter...the scottish police certificate is for scotland only and although it shows...

On the flip side, Scottish police have told me the Met certificate is essentially faked up if they have no record of you being a resident - and that Canada in it's stupidity is accepting Scots who...

Nope, I did it through Pitt Street and they told me that both times now it was a full PNC check they gave me - ie the correct records from Scotland and a check from London Yard.

Only problem is...

Weird - Met said no to me. Also the instructions are clear that for Scottish you write to Pitt Street!

Any Scots out there successfully got PR ???

I have spent 3 months now trying to convince the high commission in London that I cannot in any way get a UK police certificate only a Scottish...
