The problem with Al Ain is that there are hordes of villas available - but they are all horrid. We used to visit virtual mansions with 5 or 6 bedrooms for 95k but they were soulless, badly made...

Nah, they won't ban alcohol in Bahrain. Bahrain has the most liberal alchol laws in the ME and you don't even need a licence to buy booze here. Moreover, you don't need to be affiliated with a hotel...

Must have been the airshow....rates there are still under 400 regular season (and down to 200 in summer). It's far better to call up and negotiate with them at any rate (pun intended). ...

I stayed there once for a HCT conference.

The hotel is cheap and cheerful. It has a great leisure pool for the kids and a nice outdoor bar/seating area. Otherwise, it's v. average. We stayed...
