We are going over on hubby's work permit, so a medical shouldn't be a problem later on.

I am also an assessor but don't hold out any hope...

I phoned the school in the local area (to hubbys job )and asked what I needed to enroll my 9 year old.

I was told we did not need a study permit.We could just turn up and...

Yes hubby has a job, we have had a positive LMO so are waiting for the house to sell, I just couldn't image waiting for 4 years !

I wondered if the trend had changed due to colossal waiting...

How many people actually wait this side of the pond for PR ? We are going over on a permit and hope to instigate the PNP but is this now common practise?
