And I have to agree with you.

Having familiar belongings / furniture helped our kids settle much quicker and made the transition a little easier for them. Can't put a price on that!

Putting it bluntly, with a $50K deposit, a joint income of $70,000 wouldn't do it. You'd need to be earning double that. Sorry :(
