A visitor visa is an option but obviously the hope was to work to support himself.

On the face of it it is clear that the child is not coming on the visa so not a factor. It is the wording...

Based on that definition I would say no. We the grandparents, along with the mother provide the basic needs of food, clothing and shelter.

Thank you BritInParis. Yes definitely in the long run they will no doubt arrange that but just for the holiday it's good to know that it's not necessary.

Hi guys,

Hopefully someone can clarify this for me.

Our daughter is an Australian/UK citizen and lives in the UK with her partner who is a UK citizen. They are having a baby early next year....

Funny that, I did the same as your wife and uploaded all the required docs and it took 6 weeks to get a test date that was still another 6 weeks away! Finally sit it next week.

Question Street parking in Newstead, Brisbane.

I need to go to Newstead today, not being familiar with the area is finding street parking an issue there? Looking at google street view it appears ok but who knows what time of day those images...

Thanks for the tip, I'll get hubby to try that when he gets back from work in a few weeks. Meanwhile, I will set up my new one as I need a printer NOW!
