Hi CBD oil is legal in the UK and can buy it from the shops it has helped me with many things plus reduced the amount of painkillers intake. I'm moving to perth in a couple of weeks and I see that it is illegal and only sell hemp oil which is completely different. Does anyone else use CBD or know it is illegal or not. Thank you. Cbd has been amazing and changed my life. Also you can not get high off CBD it's only for health benefits

I've not arrived in perth as of yet. I honestly do not known why it is illegal as it does not get you high. It does not show up on drug tests either because it has no THC in it. If the doctors don't give me it then I'll end up back tramadol which is the worst thing they can do

I don’t know if this will help, but Epilepsy Action has just launched this web site.

Because in many respects, Australia is 30 years behind the rest of the world.
I have been consuming hemp seed oil for ten years, as it is an excellent essential fatty acid and great for your health.
However hemp seed oil for consumption, only actual became legal here in 2018.
You could buy it prior, but you were only meant to use it for cosmetic purposes.
Hemp seed oil for consumption has been legal virtually everywhere else in the world for donkeys years
So don't hold your breath for CBD oil being more easier to get anytime soon.
Although I did meet a group at the recent Mind Body Spirit Festival in Sydney, who were some sort of university and were lobbing the government to make access easier. They also make the oil that you could buy online in Australia, but they weren't allowed to sell it on their stand.
I was just reading yesterday, that to have CBD oil prescribed, your doctor must be authorised to do it at a national and state level (or something like that), which apparently very few doctors are.
Very frustrating.

They may be a good starting point, and will probably know where you can source CBD Oil from.
Or have a look at the Marijuana Map, which lists all the doctors and pharmacies in Australia that prescribe it.
I am going to try and get it too for a condition I have, as they doctors gave me steroids and they made me very very ill, so no way I am ever taking them again.

According to Reddit, you can get it online and it's legal.

Been thinking of trying CBD oil for years for my health issues but I also believed it was banned here so gave up looking any further. I had heard somewhere (can't recall where) that the government are potentially planning to make it legal and start exporting it themselves.

You can get it legally in Oz on prescription, via your GP and then a specialist, but your circumstances have to meet strict criteria. There are plenty of qualified natural practitioners around who supply it without a prescription though.

That's a shame. I found it extremely helpful for my arthritis. Now I can sleep at night without ingesting pills.

Thanks for that, I didn't realise. I have an appointment with my GP on Monday incidentally so will chat with her than. You've made me quite excited at the prospect. Sounds like finding a good natural practitioner could be an option as well if the GP doesn't work out. Much appreciated.

Lots I believe! You would need to do further research to see if it suited your needs. I have Menieres Disease, Vestibular Migraine and occasionally severe episodes of Benign Positional Vertigo - all issues affect my balance and vision. I have heard it can help with migraines and suspect it might help the other conditions too.

It is possible to get it in Aus without a prescription - the hemp based CBD oil can be obtained without a prescription as it doesn't contain the THCs.
