Applied for citizenship (as spouse of USC for 3 years) in Oct 2006 couldn't make the biometrics interview in November 2006 and was deferred until end Jan 2007.

I'ved lived in North Carolina for about 3 years and I like it a lot . The housing is very reasonable, cost of living generally very reasonable and I always see pages of nursing opportunities...

Well as understand it UK sourced income from a government paid pension will be taxed in the UK except where the recipient is not ordinarily resident there

I've got a Green card but if my wife gets tragically killed I've no standing here and I can apply to pay UStax instead of the punitive UK tax I pay on my pension
