Yes this would seem sensible as i can't imagine they would expect ex pats to renew a 10 year UK passport just so they can visit once every couple years so long as they have the full Canadian one and...

Yeah that's just typical, we get this far in the process and the bstds go on strike. On the plus side it could be ok if ours is shifted if our surgery date comes up early May.
