Yes this would seem sensible as i can't imagine they would expect ex pats to renew a 10 year UK passport just so they can visit once every couple years so long as they have the full Canadian one and...

Thanks, now the task of more Canadian red tape to get our passports. I see that they are moving to online renewals but not for first applications, it's still a service Canada thing. :(

Yeah that's just typical, we get this far in the process and the bstds go on strike. On the plus side it could be ok if ours is shifted if our surgery date comes up early May.

May 8th is our date. We are in an odd situation whereby my other half is awaiting surgery date and that could be early May but we hope not as we really don't want to have to reschedule the ceremony...
