hmm this is totally the opposite of my experience - I've been in melbourne for three weeks and have landed a 12 month contract at a good rate. The agency I dealt with were really good and are also...

I recently got my de facto visa through - we didn't use an agent and we submitted the following :-

stat decs by two aussie citizens, and both sets of parents and a couple of friends.
joint bills...

You have to have been living together for at least 12 months, I don't think there's any way around this....
