Heading for Ireland in August when both my UK road tax and MOT are due for renewal. Would it make sense to get both done in the UK or wait until I'm in Ireland. I would be going on a temporary basis...

I learned to fly at Manchester Airport when if cost £18 an hour so you can tell how long ago it was! Have you looked into training in the US? You used to be able to do PPL/CPL and Instructors Course...
