Hiya

We came over and rented which is fairly cheap compared to home which gives you the chance to get on your feet and see where you want to live etc. Kids have settled really well into schools...

Hi there

We did not need to get a licence here but lots of trades do - I think every state is different but have not heard of roofers having to get one. Wages could well be better on the east...

Thats interesting to hear that - we have just had a financial advisor at the house last week and it was him who told us we could only borrow 60% - so that is not the case then?

Hi

We were not aware of the restrictions until we started living here but have been tryng to get a mortgage and been told from a financial adviser that we can only borrow 60% of the purchase price...

I would agree that the older the child the more difficult it is for them - Sean has taken the longest to settle into school but he is quite quiet and fussy about who he pals around with so...

Not too sure what the problem with Greenfields is - I know property is cheaper there - so maybe a rougher area - like all places there is good and bad areas.

Hi there

We came over to Mandurah just south of Perth in December 2006 from Edinburgh. My hubbie is a roofer also.

There is no shortage of work here at all - the roofs are all metal and tiled...
