My parents had to had to cancel their PR landing trip today - literally a couple hours before boarding the flight to Canada. My grandfather became seriously ill, he is in on life support...

As others pointed out, American Express does give you a Canadian Credit Card based on your US credit history. I just got mine in the mail a week ago and it was a simple call to Amex Canada to apply...

a) Yes, the existing visa will be cancelled "without prejudice" and a new one issued with the correct details.
b) See a) above.
c) When the same thing happened with my visa, it took them about 45...
