Default What is required to seek a US Visa??

I know that PRs are supposed to get a travel visa to go to the US since 2003.
Has anyone got any idea as to what documentations are required for a PR to get a US travel visa? I have an Indian passport and obviously I would need a travel visa to travel to the US.
If you go to the US embassy's website, they have 1-900 numbers to call, which charge almost a dollar/minute. Has anyone had a similar experience? Also, how easy is it to get a US travel visa?

Any input is apprecited..
cheers!!

If you are a Canadian PR residing in Canada for less than 6 months your chances for US visa are very slim. As always you need to provide evidence of substantial ties to home country (now Canada) and convince interviewing officer that you will not overstay in US.

Thanks Andrew
I have been in Canada for 9 months now and my wife and daughter (who is 6 months and was born after i came to canada) are canadian citizens. Both have been born here and they would be accompanying me. Me and my wife both have been working.
I will research the website! Does it prove to be enough of ties to Canada??

With steady, permanent employment your chances may be good, but as always remember that US immigration officers have a huge discretion when it comes to visitor visas and of course mainly use that discretion to reject applications. Good luck.

If you have relatives who are US citizens reside in the states, they can write letters to US consulate/embassy where you are applying visa from stating who you are and purpose for visiting, how you are related to, etc...etc...
I used to write letters for my relatives in Indonesia to visit the US.
Well, I also enclosed a copy of my DOE security clearance, so no question asked

Any idea on if it is possible to get a multiple entry tourist visa (for a landed immigrant) valid for an extended period of time (10 years). If a single entry visa is all that is "usually" approved, it means getting a new visa every time ($$$) you'd like to cross the border as a tourist (couple of times a year).

Just wondering...

Can we rely in any working experience in the US?

Read this:
http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/temp_1305.html

The US Consulates operating under USDOS have broad discretionary powers whether or not to grant multiple entry visas.
Meaning: when they do background checks and they like you, they will give you multiple entries but as Mr. Andrew Miller says: 99.9999% the answer is NO.
They will not give you 10 years on multiple entries, 2 years the MOST.

Work experience in the US will not decide any visa issuance.

FYI: You fellows are in the wrong forum, try to search issues on
