Re: What is CBC Sports?

Think about those who do not pay tax, yet, like me. :)

Streaming is cheaper and you don't need any license to occupy channel frequency. Economically it makes sense if you have just few things to...

Re: What is CBC Sports?

Yes, I am interested in events listed in the schedule column "CBCsports.ca". I assume it's streamed on the Web site and it's not available as TV broadcast, right?

Thanks!

Re: What is CBC Sports?

We are in GTA. I saw the Hockey Night - it's in the main CBC schedule and in CBC Sports schedule, but other events are only on CBC Sports somehow. So I am confused, since they overlap.

Re: What is CBC Sports?

Yes I checked that one. But there are schedules that do not match CBC English service except Hockey night. I thought it's a separate TV channel.

What is CBC Sports?

We tried to find it in main CBC schedule, find it as a separate channel, tried to look at Rogers and Bell - no luck. Is it online only? How do you watch it?

Any advice will be appreciated!

Re: Tax if less than 183 days in Canada

Thanks a lot for your patience, I missed those paragraphs somehow. I wonder if new pair of glasses will be subsidized by OHIP (as soon as I will be eligible).:D

Re: Tax if less than 183 days in Canada

Yes! We landed in 2006 but finally moved in September. I know I'd better fill out this form to get confirmed that we were not tax residents in 2006 and 2007, but it's a different question.

Re: Tax if less than 183 days in Canada

Thanks for replies, let me clarify. It seems that I am going to establish my residence (PR) from September and I am going to be here the rest of 2008.

Now:

No questions about that, I am not...

Hello,

I have read nearly everything related to the subject on CRA web site and tried searching here - still in doubts. Even if the subject was not covered here exactly, I am sure that on average...

Re: Non-resident bank account - is it worth the hassle?

Well, they say a lawyer and any other legal *authority* is ok too, and I think that town hall does actually have even more weight and it's free. But doing all that stuff and then paying $15 just for...

Non-resident bank account - is it worth the hassle?

Hi All,

I did try the search but my question seems to be very fuzzy:

I was thinking about opening an account with RBC before getting to Canada. The ONLY reason for me, though an important one,...

Re: Costs of connecting utilities

I've spent countless evenings trying to figure that out. For 200 kEuro (300 k$ that I would be bringing) I can get a 500 sq.m. (5000 sq.ft.) lot and a smallish but new manufactured house quite close...
