We got the approval emails on the 25th June to say our cards have been ordered but were on a road trip so couldn't post! All seems quite fast now but dragged at the time. Can't believe we have LPR!!!!

Once your I485 is approved there is, as I said, an unwritten 6 month rule before you change jobs. From what I've read it's a question of trust and intent and, if you change jobs immediately after...

Apparantly there's an unwritten 6 month rule for changing jobs after getting your green card, unless you get laid off.

We got our EAD's and AP (if that's what you mean) back in February.

Having lived in both countries I'd say go with Dallas. Sydney is lovely but hugely expensive to live in and $75,000 isn't a great salary for the area.
