Seattle Public Schools had no issue with it, I simply signed a a waiver. Immigration is a whole difefrent ball game though..I have reserached waivers on the USCIS webpage and can only find a waiver...

My child is in School in Fremont, Seattle. I signed a waiver, they had no issue with it. I want to refuse it for Immigration purposes.

Don't worry, I only tell them that if asked...actually most times it ends up in a sarcastic comment...one officer said.."if you defend criminals I will refuse entry" (he was kidding)..ha ha

Yes...carrying ties is crucial...but only produce them if asked....

To be fair most officers are very nice, but all you need is that one who's hada bad day, so be prepared and all will be well.
