OK...we have a UK will, as we lived there... but it is out of date as we live here and have real estate here in BC too...The best case scenario would be to sell the UK real estate that we have, and...

My hope by having a newer will/legal that reflects our newer situation of now owning real estate in two countries...is that if/when it is needed that more of my money makes it to where I want it to...

Isn't the first phrase of a will "the last will and testament"? Doesn't that mean that there is "one" will, not two, one in this province and another in the UK?

All right, we have an English will...but we understand that if we make a BC will that it will revoke our English will. Can you comment of the "newer" will not negating the "older" will?

If you have real estate in the UK and also Canada...what should one do so that the will is legal in both regions of the world? Any experiences would be most welcome.

My only comment is that when you activate your PR you must be living in Canada to sponsor your wife...so might want to get some good advice on this.

Does it state on a UK birth certificate that it can not be photocopied? Mine is Canadian...Maybe the answer lies in that...I know that my British Columbian birth certificate is invalid if I laminate...

Things like...birthday cards, life insurance policies naming each other, a will mentioning each other...shared bank accounts...it is a bit different for each person....

Mine was for a PR...but I used blue coloured paper to break up the sections and also used their check list as a king of table of contents putting it right on the front....I used a big bull dog clip...
