The check goes to the same place (Department of Homeland) so i'm hoping it wont be a massive issue.

I wrote a cover letter stating what I was paying for - so let's wait and see.

surely you can appeal over the F Up USCIS made ? It sucks that you are the one who has to go through the heart ache and pain cause USCIS didn't do there freaking job properly.

Came on hard times 4 years ago with a credit card. Ended up getting it sorted but record is not the best and is only repaired after 7 years. Not ashamed to hide it but also interested in the DP act.

it's interesting - because in the US they search your credit by your SS number and only your SS Number. This distingushes you from anyone else.

But with the UK the system is so F'd Up they search...
